This article shows how to allow Install apps from unknown sources for experiment and fix app not installed error. This would be useful in the situation where you want to test some apps in your TV, for example, you have developed an app and you want to test that app on android TV.
Procedures to follow:
Go to Settings , then go to Apps, then go to Security and restrictions, then select the app for which we need to allow install apps from unknown sources.
